Back to Games

is it just me or is it extremely easy to get bored/loose interest on minecraft singleplayer? aint like its not fun ofc, but at some point you kinda get tired of it..

Thats why u gotta find people to PLAY WITHH, I swear though it was sm funner as a kid but ig u can only take a certain amount of arrows to the head before ur interest runs low, I have a forever world that I update like once a month and its seriously bumming me outtt, lmk if u ever wanna play together im sure itll be fun!!

@KalashniKola i would be totally down ngl

@criminallyinsane

shoot me a friend req

:smug:

BLOOD TYPE A+

mod the shit out of the game so its just an insane mess,,, also watch minecraft lets-plays in the background

Mansplain over, Alexander signing OUT!!

It happens sometimes, but something that helps me keep playing on singleplayer is (beside mods) talking abt my world with a friend. Maybe not inviting them to the world (most of the time one of us can't multiplayer), but howing some progress on a building or a long-term sculpture. I also love making multiple houses everywhere lol

Just an online girl~

simple boredom

if it gets stale u can just quit the game and start again later

its a infinite game but its not a constant game that u can play on the daily ull stop eventually

BLOOD TYPE A+

the only times i rlly have fun with minecraft are when im playing modded versions (stuff like Better Than Adventure like those mods that rewrite the game basically, not modpacks) and ill have a podcast going in the background and its really fun for the early game but once i build everything i feel like building i usually stop playing

real, i almost never play solo. 99% of the time im playing w/ my bsf or on my multiplayer server and its so fun that way

I've genuinely been playing different versions of minecraft lately, 3DS, Tablet, PC.  Indev, Infdev, Alpha, Beta, Release.  Its refreshing playing different flavors.  Especially if you got folks to play those OLD versions of Java.  I always enjoy hosting games for folks.

playing minecraft with other people is the best way not to get bored

I On SOME Level Agree .SINCE IM MOSTLY A BUILDER It's Harder For Me To Get Bored Since I'm Almost Always Running Around Trying To Find More Material For My Builds/Building My Structures In General + I LOVEE Writing Lore For Each Of My Single Player Worlds SO THAT IM MORE INVSTED IN ACTUALLY PLAYING IN MY WORLD Since I Also Don't Like Feeling Alone In It I Mostly Live Around Villages And Base The Lore Off The Villagers Rather Then The Worldbuilding Itself .BUT I DO GET HOW IT CAN BE BORING AT TIMES Like .AFTER A WHILE OF BUILDING I Just Get So Burnt Out That I Low-key Forget What I'm Planning To Build In My World Next

I typically find it more fun to play with friends, but I did try to start a "forever world" recently. I have certainly forgotten to log into it since months ago, LOL, but I plan on returning to it rather than starting a new world. This is because I set a lot of goals for myself, as well as figuring out what would make me want to keep playing solo.

In my case, this involved 1. finding mods that I'll enjoy using, as such creating a modpack for myself and 2. installed texture packs to get Minecraft to look how it did years ago. Many people love the old textures, many hate them. I have no issue in admitting they're objectively a little rough, but to me, having the game look so unpolished actually made me feel less pressured to play and build perfectly, therefore I was able to do more things.

I intentionally started building a lot of things in an "ugly" way, think those towers and castles people used to build back when there were barely any blocks or building community around the game. Not only does it take me back to when I was a kid, but it also prevents me from getting too perfectionist to finish anything. I found it very fulfilling to just build whatever the hell I wanted while letting it be as ugly as I want.

I built me a house, a greenhouse, a windmill, a giant brick tower that literally does nothing other than being tall, a barn, enclosures for my pet scorpion and pet manticore, and I plan on building random houses around the map, maybe even a full village. I was also planning on creating 'lore' for the world and to roleplay in my own head while playing. Now I'm starting to want to pick it back up, wow. I miss playing on there.

TL:DR; prioritize everything you want to do in a singleplayer world, install any and all mods or texture packs that suit your tastes, channel the ways in which you had fun as a child if it helps (you can also downgrade to older versions if you feel inclined to)

I also recommend the YouTuber's LuvstarKei's videos. Their channel is all about playing Minecraft like the old days again. They have videos regarding tips on how to maintain a forever world and how to make singleplayer fun.

Just you, probably.

Maybe MySpace was all the friends we made along the way.

it does unfortunately i dont really have anyone to play with so i gotta deal with it
