You might have seen a monster in a movie, TV show, comic, game or gallery that stuck with you in one way or another. Maybe they're even on album art or just standalone figures or statuettes. Have you even been curious enough to find out who made it? Alternatively, a creature designer's work might have led you to media you otherwise wouldn't have been aware of.
This is usually a topic I see in horror, sci-fi or otherwise kaiju, sentai and tokusatsu spaces, but they're far from the only ones where the question may be relevant.
Do you have any favorites? I'll always be weak for Yasushi Nirasawa and Takeyuki Takeya's work, but Tamotsu Shinohara and Tsutomu Nihei have banged out some incredible designs as well. Of course, H.R. Giger's at the top of my list
