You know, like the 80s Bay Area thrash scene, some geographical pockets of NWOBHM, whatever crazy no wave (good) shit was happening in 70s NYC... You get the picture, maybe.
I'd love to hear about your favorite scenes and the popular + not so popular musicians to come out of them; maybe some associated record labels? Some of my favorites are the 90s Fort Thunder scene in Providence (Lightning Bolt, Mindflayer, late stragglers The White Mice, etc) and that 80s Midwestern gaggle of noise rock (Killdozer, Cows, Ed Hall and so on)
