Hi everyone, this is Kassey. This is my second forum post, and I’m sharing something a bit different today. I’m hoping to get some advice on a situation that recently made me feel very uncomfortable.
Earlier today, I was outside sweeping and cleaning off the porch and sidewalk in front of my house and my neighbor’s house. While working, I noticed the neighbor’s son (let's call him "Bardo") watching me from across the street. At first, I didn't think much of it. However, when I looked over again, he was sitting on his porch staring at me intensely as I worked. It felt unsettling, so I decided to go back inside.
Later that afternoon, Bardo came over and knocked on my front door, asking my grandfather if I was going to come back outside. My grandfather, who is very protective of me, asked him why he was looking for me. Bardo admitted that he liked me, mentioned he "likes girls who work," and said he just wanted to talk.
The truth is, I don't know him at all and rarely see him around, though he claims he sees me often. Listening to this conversation from upstairs made my skin crawl it was bizarre to hear someone talk about me as if they knew me well. On top of that, I am already in a relationship.
He even went as far as shouting that he was "obsessed" with me. How can I clearly set boundaries with someone behaving this way?
