YOU DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH I LOVE THIS GAME. YOU DONT YOU DONT YOU DONT. Firstly, the graphics are sosososososososososooso good, James looks quite realistic. Speaking of him, I love his character and just him in general. The whole Silent Hill concept is so spooky and confusing, I LOVE it. As well as the fighting, it' a bit hard with the crowbar thingy you get at the start, but once you have a handgun and shotgun you're pretty much set. Lastly, the story. I'm not gonna spoil anything, that'd be mean, but I love the storyline for this game. Like, if I got a letter from my dead wife that tells me to go to an abandoned town full of monsters, yeah good luck man I'm staying home. Anyway, that's it for my post, tysm for reading!
Alot of people call it inferior to the original even thought I believe this is exactly what Team Silent imagined they were making, like how Doom was always meant to feel like an Aliens movie. Original's great, even today, but the remake's almost perfect.
You gonna try the other games or wait until the remake for the first game drops? :o
My only problem with it is the order they are releasing the remakes in. Why was Silent Hill 2 first? Origins doesn't need a remake now as it's one of the newer games, but why wasn't the original silent hill released first? Then afterwards Silent Hill 3. As it's a continuation to The original Silent Hill. THEN maybe Silent hill 2 followed by four.
Idk, I love the remake though. Didn't like the HD collection version though. That was actually the first way I played it lmao. Do I like the og better than the remake? Sure. But can I admit the remake did a LOT that the og didn't. I also adore Maria's new look. (Although I feel like her "sexualization" was a manifestation of James missing his wife in a way.)
Ig they wanted to do the most popular one first to prove themselves, personally I don't mind tbh since I love SH1 and they'll have learnt to polish it up better as their second project. Plus if it turns out good the hype for SH3 will be thru the roof as it should be!

✧ I liked it as well. I beat the game back in November. I hope they remake Silent Hill: Homecoming — that one is my fave. I'm also really excited for the new one coming out✧
