Tech decemtralozation

Do people diversify their tech these days.

Like everything is done on a phone. Or PC.

But that's not good because you are at an os makers mercy.  Have any of you considered doing this?

So like, il have my phone for online social experiences, then my ds lite for pure offline gaming, then my digital alarm clock, my watch, my.anolog clocks. 2 of them) then my dvd player, I'm still looking to get a digital camera even a physical calculator

Look if u ever feel powerless on tech to Google play or Apple diversify your tech. For every watch, clock, dvd player u get that's one piece of tech not controlled by the big names. 

This gives you so much power again as a tech user! You'll feel powerful. Like if google play shut down tomorrow that's just one layer of my tech shut down I still got my ds, I still got my web browser. Etc my digital alarm clock..  my digital camera. 

I do agree with you on that, but when it comes to Android I don't think Android Gamers really rely on Google Play alone.... I think big chunk of Android Gaming is Emulation and that's been evident for years and quite had a huge boom back in like Late 2021 when "AetherSX2" was released and kinda set the internet on fire.

And also we could download good amount of Emulators on the Internet, RetroArch has been abandoned on Google Play Store and hasn't been updated due to Google's awful new policies but new updates could be found on their website.

You kinda messed up on the title. LOL XD

But I hope you'll fix that soon.

I have been thinking about diversifying, at least partially. Music at home splitting between digital and physical being the starting point. I'd like to use my DSLR camera more too, so when my current phone needs replacing, I'll get something more basic so I have more reason to bring it along more often. Might be a while, though.
