@Just looking I agree with you, however I don't think sites like this are purely nostalgia bait. Most of the reason these exist is nostalgia, sure, but a big reason as to why people are so fascinated ny the idea is the fact that it's not like modern social media in the slightest. You're not online 24/7, it's not as addictive, there's no algorithms that make it addictive, nobody's trying to scam you with platform curated ads, etc, and yes, aside from the fact that a lot of people want the edgy MySpace back or to experience the hyper it had back then, a lot of people want this kind of site for the community, slow engagement and (honestly) the profile customization !
