Favorite video game OST?

What’s everyone’s favorite video game OST? I love both the .hack//G.U. and Fuga OSTs a lot and they hold a special place in my heart. ❤︎ Other video games with awesome soundtracks that I’ve been listening to would be:

• The Talos Principle
• Lunacid
• Riven
• Lamento
• Ico
• Lost in Vivo
• NieR Replicant
• A Wolf in Autumn
• Dread X: The Hunt
• Tormented Souls
• Warhammer 40K
• Unicorn Overlord
• Disco Elysium
• Star Ocean 2

Kingdom Hearts music by Yoko Shimomura.
"Traverse Town" / "Lazy Afternoons" / "Afternoon Streets" / etc.

I also dig Kirby and Spyro music.

And "Beauty of Annihilation" by Elena Siegman from Zombies on CoD: Black Ops.

Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2's soundtracks are still two of my absolute favorites! Some other video game OSTs I enjoy are:

• Jet Set Radio/Jet Set Radio Future
• The World Ends with You
• Final Fantasy X/X-2
• Final Fantasy VII
• Crash Team Racing
• Streets of Rage/Streets of Rage 2
• Bust a Groove (does anyone even remember that game? 🤔)
• Chrono Trigger
• TLoZ: Ocarina of Time
• TLoZ: Twilight Princess
• Super Mario 64
• Animal Crossing (any of them, but especially the gamecube one 😉)

@Gio!™ Megaman 9 had a great soundtrack too!

@n-has-a-site

I was just about to say T.T nothing brings the emotions in me like the Hollow Knight music

i really like the ost from a lot of sonic games like sonic adventure, sonic r, and sonic mania. other than that I really enjoy detroit: become human (specifically the kara sections), battleblock theater, halo, minecraft and undertale ofc, plus some music from the call of duty black ops games (1 - 3 mainly)

i do NOT play about splatoon's music. all of the games, all of the dlcs. so damn good

I don't know if you meant the team ICO itself, but Shadow of the Colossus OSTs are really good and fascinating (to me).

The team behind Shadow of the Colossus is the same as ICO

The entire OST from EU4 is great, orchestral pieces and some from sabaton. One I particularly like is. Ride forth Victoriously from EU4. Very fun

The FNAF: Sister Location OST is really good

I think it’s the first FNAF game to have its own OST

Venta Black and Demolition Inevitable are really good tracks from the OST

I know this might be a basic answer but we can all agree that Undertale is a fantastic video game OST right?

His Theme and ASGORE are such fantastic tracks from the OST

I absolutely love Bayonetta's OST, all of the games have amazing soundtracks.

Other games whose soundtracks I loved are:

Mewgenics

Nier Automata

Viva Piñata

Castlevania Lords of Shadow

SMTIV

And Grant Kirkhope's work overall

i've been in LOVE with the persona soundtrack since the first time i listened to it!!

LAMENTO MENTION!

My fav is prolly Clannad or Touhou 11

madworld's ost is hella underrated.

for a couple off the top of my head, Jet Set Radio (and JSRF), Sonic Rush, Streets of Rage 2, The Last Ninja 2 (commodore 64 game), Gimmick!, and Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance

obviously just referring to game OSTs with original compositions, if I included licensed soundtracks we'd be here all day

off and psychopomp osts are so cool and inspire me sm!! in off's case both original (pomp's osts were inspired by it as far as i know) & remaster soundtracks

OFF (the original ost , but toby fox version of it is very good too) very fun ost , with some spookier tracks to

undertale, silent hill 2, minecraft, saya no uta, and doki doki literature club (:

GTA London theme is very fire, and along with GTA: TBOGT too.
It's not exactly an original piece... but the soundtrack list of Burnout 3 and NFS Carbon is awesome.

i really like rhythm thief, yakuza 0, and persona osts!
