I used to skateboard a lot when I was 9-10 but then I got into racing and I just bought a new deck and I’m re-learning but it’s way harder than I remember so if u have any tips for me that’d be great!

The 2 most important parts easily forgotten are:
- the back foot FLICKS! Not push, not scoop, and definitely not stomp! pretty much all the movement comes from your ankle starting out. move it back up BEFORE the tail pops against the ground, you shouldn't be able to feel the floor underneath you through the board. (ps. make sure almost all your jumping force comes from your front foot here)
- to make sure you tuck in that back knee!! (the board can only go as high as your foot goes, so if you're not lifting it high its not gonna get airtime) Try jumping as high as you can... Did you do it? well i can tell you because nobody ever REALLY does, Tuck your knees and try again. GOOD, now do it on a skateboard!!
mostly dont get frustrated if you dont get it straight away, its a hard hobby and it took me years to get my first ollie :) i believe in you :)
