ok so chances are that none of you know these two shows i’m gonna talk about, and that’s ok! i’m just checking to see if anyone knows these…
ok have you guys heard of The Mysterious Cities of Gold? or how about Dogtanian And The Three Muskehounds?
I’ll describe them simply:
MCOG takes place in the 16th century and it is a show about this young boy named Esteban who, for some reason, has the power to call out the sun whenever it’s rainy. he is convinced by this Spanish sailor named Mendoza to come with him on a galleon to the New World to find his missing father — as Esteban was an orphan whose father disappeared at sea. On the way there he meets Zia, an inca girl; and Tao, a young boy from a mythical/legendary empire named Mu (or Hiva in the English dub) which had sunk long ago and he was the last (?) survivor. The kids go on an adventure to find El Dorado and keep it safe from the greedy hands of the Spanish conquistadors.
This show got a second season (and subsequent two others) in 2012 and the following years, until the story was concluded in season 4 after they found all seven cities. i watched it all.
Meanwhile, Dogtanian is just Dumas’s ‘The Three Musketeers’ but turned into a children’s cartoon in which they are dogs. it was probably the cartoon that sparked my unending love for the books of the D’Artagnan romances.
PLS tell me someone on this site knows them… they’re my favourite things to watch. definitely my comfort shows.
