What’s a movie you CANNOT watch?

I mean what movie can you just not get into? Maybe you can’t stomach it or maybe you just plain hate it, or you just think it’s not worth it and boring? Me personally? I can’t stand the terrifier movies.

As someone who actually doesn’t mind gore all that much, I think they’re kinda gross and cruel in a way that sucks the fun out of watching them. I just don’t see anything really redeeming in them, especially considering they’re supposed to be ‘comedic’ in a way, but it just doesn’t feel like that.

“And we’ll all dance along to the sound of your death! We’ll love again, we’ll laugh again, and it’s better off this way…” -Gerard Way 🎼

Not a movie, but a TV show called 13 Reasons Why. I watched it within the first few weeks after it premiered (and before certain scenes were deleted) and it absolutely destroyed my mental health. By the time the second season was released in 2018, I had become so obsessed that my parents banned me from watching the show for good. Almost ten years later, I still haven't touched that monstrosity on Netflix. I also don't know if that ban still holds but I know I will never watch it again for my own mental wellbeing.

Life is a mystery. Explore it while you can.

mysterious skin, i want to watch it but i can't bring myself its too sad for me i don't need that stuff in my mind, seems like a good film though

my whole family noped out of the nut job 2 of all things. little karol (me) was disgusted at the adorable bumblebee killed by a truck, the walrus head on a plaque (i really love walruses) and the vomit "joke" was the last straw for teh mom (it's not often we leave a movie but that was just tasteless to us!!)

I have to go now. My planet needs me. :3

slaughter vomit dolls, smile, i could probably watch human centipede but defo not drag me to hell

Enter the Void is actually potentially seizure-inducing for some. There's also some graphic depictions of... stuff. I think other movies have even harder scenes that Enter the Void, but I like those movies enough to go rewatch them and just power through the tough scenes (*pointing at Bone Tomahawk*). I appreciate the concept of Enter the Void (not really a spoiler but it's about a guy dying and experiencing reincarnation while high), but at some point I kept tuning it out, and all it was doing by that point was causing me pain. It's interesting but it's not enough for me to power through it for a rewatch.

Another one that I want to watch, but I'm scared of starting because of a very specific scene, is Suspiria (2018).

Edit: Forgot I wanted to mention that Enter the Void has a special place in my heart for one reason -- I got to watch my mom try to watch it. She couldn't even get through the intro credits; they made her mad and she shut it off.
