Retro games > new games by a LARGE margin. It's not even close.

to be honest, some retro games have more interesting ideas and mechanics than modern ones😌
depends on what you consider retro
but most games that came out before 2010s are superior in every way to what comes out now. AAA is particularly cooked these days

Retro games are my go-to!! I very rarely ever play anything more recent, that's not to say there aren't any good modern games.. but they're harder to find (and afford) compared to anything made then. And even then, most of the newer games I actually play are indie and inspired by older games.. so retro really is the way for me.
Old games or new games, it does not really matter.
What's important is how they age.
There are timeless classics like Gran Turismo 1 and RE3: Nemesis, which are games I've had a lot of fun with.
And there are fun ones for all the wrong reasons like Big Rigs and a certain game that almost killed the industry.
