alright well, when I was a kid, wall-e was one of my favorite movies. In original concepts the people were actually supposed to be blobs, and that partially inspired me to come up with this.
it's a bit of a rough draft, but I think what I wrote here get's the general plot down:
About a million years in the future, humanity has evolved to become gluttonous, greedy, blobs of slime. Among them, there is no ambition, no love or friendship, everything is handed to them. AI and robots have evolved to be a slave class for them, doing whatever the blobs want them to.
Years before, a large corporation brought other companies and eventually entire countries. This corporation was involved in media, food, industry, and especially AI. Eventually, the corporation overlooked all of humanity. Robots were developed to do the things humans didn’t want to do. Humanity was pacified, no longer working hard, became lazy and unable to think for themselves. Years of that lead them to evolve to become the blobs they are now.
At this point, the robots are more intelligent and even more conscious than the human descendants. They see how humanity devolved, and seeing an opportunity not only for their own liberation but for humanity to one day return to greatness, they revolt.
It's a work in progress. I still think it's a bit too close to the original concept of Wall-e but it's a work in progress. I think I can add some messaging about AI and how a lot of people don't really care about the state of the world, stuff like that. Feedback is much appreciated...
