I started to notice that my dreams are starting to have repeating themes. At least the ones I can remember. Which probably makes sense, after all the brain is just mixing a bunch of things from memories to create dreams. I just think it's fascinating that my brain has found something it likes and likes to put in my dream.
My most common dream theme is that I'll be in a store or a building and suddenly I'll see fish swimming and sometimes they're not even swimming in tanks, they're swimming in the air. Or they'll be in tanks embedded into walls, I even had a dream where I went to seafood section at a grocery store and all the fish came to life and were swimming in the air. They fluctuate in size too so they can range from tiny to the size of my head.
When I don't dream about that though, I tend to dream about the outdoors or liminal spaces. Though I have noticed that I'll even dream something so close to real life I'm convinced I'm not dreaming.
Anyone else have something similar? Do you dream about real life or do you dream about videos games or being in book worlds? Does the dream follow a trope like a TV show?
