I personally don't like the new ones, too soulless for mah taste. My fave is Civilization IV: Colonization because I like to be evil that's why. Although The Heroes series and some Paradox games are also great!
I don't mind them lol. Some of them are really good tho. My favorite strategies are Stronghold: Crusader and Total War: Medieval (medieval 2 also not bad). From Paradox games, I've played only Hearts of Iron games (1st, 3rd and 4th parts), but I suck there. Too complicated. Never played any Civilization game tbh, but I have Civilization V in my steam library.

I just beat The Amazing Race for the first time and for a licensed game it's honestly kinda good! It implements proper use of cash and the minigames are AMAZING!

It's a Wii port of the popular CBS gameshow. It uses 2 wii remotes for team play or an alternative 1 player style. You can play a similar team experience with the Roblox game "Race Around The World".
i never really play modern strategic games because most of the new ones cost like one million bookoo bucks,
i dont want to be spending almost half a thousand (my currency) on the newest civ game.
but in general i love those types of games The Stronghold series and Heros of might and magic series being my two favorite ones !

ngl I recently got into clash royale and it rarely ever feels like theres strategy in strategy games. it's more of whoever has the better line up or guesses better wins, which brings it all down to luck. experience has a massive factor to play sometimes, and I admit games like polytopia and heck, even chess need a bunch of experience for you to get results in. but I feel like it's always all about whoever is luckier and even when I win I rarely feel satisfied
