anyone here familiar with evan dorkin’s the eltingville club / the ‘welcome to eltingville’ failed pilot?
pretty niche fandom but i’m quite fond of it personally!! bill lives in my mind rent free <3 i think the series has a really fun take on nerd culture in the late 90s
omg yes!! i watched the pilot about a yr or so ago, and i sooo wished it got picked up. it would have been such a good adult swim show :(
ive been wanting to get the comic books but none of the (comic) book stores carry it around where i live
@miisi oh i feel you on the local comic shops not carrying evan dorkin’s stuff thing- i had to order my copy of nerd inferno secondhand on ebay
it would’ve been a great show!! i wish we could’ve gotten to see more pilotverse club shenanigans because im curious as to whether they’d get as dark as the comics or keep the tone of the pilot for the most part
