Clannad, Anohana and Angel Beats are all absolute tear jerkers.

Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya(and the sequel movie Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya) is a great mind boggling supernatural mystery show.

Madoka Magica and Sailor Moon are some of the greatest magical girl shows.

Promare is a fantastic action movie.

Fruits Basket is one of my all-time favourites if you like astrology!
