Hello, there is no specific proper forum space for this.
August the 12th is the total solar eclipse of 2026. The following evening between the hours of the 12th to the 13th will be the peak of the Perseid's meteor shower.
Depending on the clarity of your region, this annual meteor shower can reach up to 150+ meteors during the peak windows roughly 1-2 hour time frame. This years visibility is supposed to be above average. You are even suppose to see them during the moments of totality during the solar eclipse as our sun blacks out briefly.
Please look up your local night sky information, if you can find a local area of around a 4 on the Bortle scale you will have visibility of up to 100+ or more depending on your proximity to the Perseid's hailing regions of the Northern Hemisphere.
Please protect your eyes during totality of the solar eclipse, and please please spend some time catching the night sky for those of you who can garner the time.
