Any tales from the laundromat? (and what price point)

So many odd/funny/awful experiences can be had in the laundromat. Here are a few of ours:

Realizing, only after taking clothes out of the dryer, that there were bunches of dead bed bugs around the floor in front of the dryer...

Listening to a guy rattling on and screaming at everyone about the 'town mafia' before trying to engage me in some shit....tellin him to fuck off....then the owner comin by being like "oh he's crazy, there aint no mafia, everyone knows its only the (town name) 100 that controls the town"... 

With my last job I would often do laundry early in the morning within the first hour of them being open. For MONTHS the owner would come ask me "any blankets or towels? they need to go in the front loader machines"...to which I would always express that he'd already told me. This was usually followed up or preceded by "you are here early, you going to work?"...."yes"...."where do you work?"...."the butcher shop"....*blank stare* "where's the butcher shop?"(or "there's a butcher shop in town?") *proceed to tell him for the hundredth time that it is 5 minutes away* 

Any time during summer, after sitting around for an hour waiting for the clothes to dry, checking your clothes to see they still aren't dry and you have to stick around the heat for another 30 minutes minimum.

Every time someone asks "do you want help folding your clothes?" when we clearly just put them in a bag to fold at home.

Also, what are your price points? We don't do laundry in the town we live because all washers cost $3 a load, and the dryers start at $2.50 for 25 minutes...and they need a minimum 45 minutes with these dryers...also all the machines are bust and the clothes never really felt that clean if ya know what I mean. Needless to say, doing laundry there feels like a slap in the face with your wallet.

There's a card only "fancy" laundromat in the bigger city that also starts around that price point, so we go to the coin op about 10 minutes from there. The top loaders are $1.25, and the front loaders are $2.25. All dryers are just 7 minutes per quarter...so often can get an entire trip of laundry done for about $6-$9 max which is very worth it...of course a lot of the machines are broken at this point...there's holes in the ceiling leaking water everywhere...and it's for sale...so that'll probably all change soon.

Hahah I have a friend who used to drive 2 towns over to another friend's house to wash his laundry there instead of going to the laundromat that was like a 2 minute drive from his place. Idk what's wrong with that laundromat but clearly it's something! He's moved out though, and his new place has a washer so there's that. 

I remember I was washing my clothes at like 10pm and the whole wall facing the rest of the stores was glass and we saw the dollar general right across from us get robbed by like two guys w guns and everyone just stopped, watched then went back to washing cuz aint nobody rlly give a fuck, and like how broke r u that u gotta be robbing the dollar general lmfao and the prices were cheap like 1.50 a load but you could only pay in all quarters
