the last relationship i've been in was back in 2020; it was long distance and she ghosted me 10 months in. since then, i've only ever been in situationships that are usually long distance, and last 4 months tops. all the other relationships i've been in were platonic feelings being mistaken for romantic ones, and often didn't last long, so i don't count them as relationships. i only say these things to paint you guys a picture of my love life; the dating pool sucks these days.
anyway, since then i've obviously had a lot of time to grow and reflect as a person, and i'm at a place in my life where i don't base everything around having a relationship, but it would be nice yk? like thankfully i'm pretty content with myself as a person and i don't need to "fill the void" with romantic affection like i used to.
i met a girl at a party last month and we really hit it off; i'd never had that much immediate chemistry with a person and i fully thought i was gay till i met her. we've been on one unofficial date since then, and we've been talking pretty often for the past week. we've established that there's mutual interest and we're both single, so it's safe to say that we're crushing on each other.
my problem is... how do i move forward from here? i typically tell people to wait minimum 3-6 months with the person before becoming official, but i've already opened up a lot to this girl, and she has to me. we're both pretty transparent people, and i met her when i was basically in drag. plus on that unofficial date we talked for hooouuurrrs, because of that i feel much closer to her than i would any other person that i'd meet organically or otherwise. this whole thing has made me realize that i actually kind of suck at dating; i get really awkward around people i like and i'm very inexperienced with this whole thing. seriously, i've only ever really dated anybody online--when i was 13... like i don't know *how* traditional dating works. especially since i live in a country where the customs are suuuper different, like "dating" is only really a thing for my generation literally. also for more context, we're both in uni; i'm a sophomore and she's a senior, but we go to different universities.
so i'm planning on introducing her to my inner circle today, since they're probably coming over and i want her to see me dj lol. she's already met one of my best friends cause we went to that party together, but if things work out today she'll be introduced to my mom, my sister, and my close friends (one of them being my #1 homeboy, that's my goat). i won't introduce her as my girlfriend obviously, cause we're not official and we've only been talking for like a week or two. i would like her to meet my friends though; if things don't work out romantically i'd still like to be her friend.
anyway, to sum up my question... is it a good idea to introduce her to my friends today? and realistically, how would i go about waiting..? by that i mean how long? how many dates? etc...
