People have never stopped consuming soda in the amounts they do, but it only seems like we have noticed....where did the carbonation go? Whether it is a can, small bottle, big bottle, soda tap, name brand, or off brand, it seems like nothing is actually carbonated anymore....if we're lucky to get a slightly carbonated soda it only lasts for the first drink and then reverts back to flat.
anybody else notice this? are your sodas still carbonated?
ngl I dont drink store bought soda much anymore, you can get a carbonator for like 20-60 bucks (depends on brand you get and what area you are in i think) and than you can kinda just control how fizzy the drink is, and honestly the canister things you put in the machine last pretty long (mine lasted like a year)
@Thorn_Puppyboi okay, that's cool if that works, we're just asking where the carbonation went. people still buy copious amounts of soda but nobody notices or says that they go flat 2 minutes after opening.
that soda stream/carbonation machine was such a time...never got into that cuz we've never drank that much soda to begin with. it's just when you want a soda and you buy one and it's flat...it's kinda shitty.

@Thorn_Puppyboi well no duh. it's just the the country seems to run on soda, it is one of the most bought products we see in any given store, and yet nobody seems to care. or have they not noticed? or is it just our area? you'd think that would be something people would be up in arms about.
not that we're up in arms about it as we don't drink soda much, but you think this would rile up all the people who do. unless people don't even like carbonation? and they just like sugar water cuz they're addicted to sugar? idk, don't understand.

I buy the 12/24 pack of cans so I haven't noticed any change in carbonation, and I have a soda addiction.
@Nimthiriel cans are always better cuz bottles don't seem to hold any anymore. but we've still noticed, over here at least, that whether it's in a big pack or singular it just already is flat or is a couple minutes out from it.
I don't know if it's the heat or the low altitude or something, but soda just isn't that carbonated over here and it seems like we two are the only ones with the problem; we aren't from this state originally, so if this is the normal levels for them we really wouldn't know. I guess people just really like sugar water over here only and they're fine with that lol. Where we come from we could keep a 2L bottle in the fridge for like 2 and a half days before it really started to lose its carbonation.
