Advice for high schoolers? (especially seniors)

Back to Help & Advice

I start my senior year of high school next week, so I just wanted to make a forum post asking people for advice on how to survive and make the most of it lol

You can add any advice for high school in general (what classes to take, post-graduation planning, mental health, how to make new friends, how to stay on top of grades, how to get used to it for underclassmen, etc. )since I havenโ€™t seen any recent discussion posts here about it and a lot of people are starting school again!!ย

Make the most of your senior year, youโ€™re not gonna see most of them ppl anyways. (Donโ€™t over think)ย

+ Join multiple clubs if you can. Try out, and see if you like them. That way you can expand your interest and get rid of your nerves for college (this helps you become more confident and out of your box)ย

+ Donโ€™t be afraid to ask for help from your advisors or teachers. See what they say about ways you can get different scholarships and are willing to check over your college essays. (This helps give you ideas on what colleges they might recommend or majors) (Also see if any jobs around your area are willing to give their employees scholarships if you work for them) /i have a friend whoโ€™s a teachers assistant and her job is willing to pay for her school if she majors in education/ย

+ Do your homework when you feel like you have free time. /Thereโ€™s times my classes are free because we just took our state tests so I use that time to do homework/

+ Find something outside of school. Like going to visit park with friends, have game nights, learn how to skate or anything that would get your body moving. (This helps create memories)ย

+ Donโ€™t be afraid to have lone time. (This helps when you feel overwhelmed. Listen to songs somewhere with a nice scenery or place of peace)ย

+ Be a guidance for underclassman. If you see them struggling or have similar interest as you, donโ€™t be afraid to talk to them. Theyโ€™re still a kid like you and I promise theyโ€™ll remember you when you leave.ย

I know itโ€™ll seem hard and overwhelming but trust. Itโ€™ll get better once youโ€™re able to let go most of your worries and care about things one at a time.ย

Youโ€™re gonna be just fine.ย
