where should i start getting into goth music, fashion, culture?

i've always really admired goth culture and ive always wanted to be goth but it seems so daunting

i really like the cure (i've listened to pornography, disintegration, and parts of seven seconds) and some other of the popular bands but ive always wanted to dive deeper into the subculture

Go to some goth events - look for things like "vampire night" or anything referencing the 80s on a normal non-Halloween day of the year. Talk to people there.

Most of us are actually very nice & will tell you where we got our clothes (or, more often, how we made them) & what bands we've been obsessing over.
