hii friendrewind foruns! i play a lot on a fashion website that uses tonetags and i find them SUPER helpful so i will post about them here so more people can use them (,,>ヮ<,,)!
what they are? tonetags are a way to mark the tone of message on text. since in person we can use body languege, facial expressions and voice to know when someone is joking or serious, in text we dont have this clues, so tonetags step in to help!
what are some tonetags:
/j = joking, /hj = half joking, /srs = serious, /nsrs = not serious, /lh = light hearted, /gen = genuine / genuine question, /ij = inside joke, /ref = reference, /t = teasing, /nm = not mad, /lu = a little upset, /nf = not forced, /nbh = nobody here, /nay = not at you, /ay = at you, /nbr = not being rude, /ot = off topic, /cb = clickbait, /f = fake, /m = metaphor / metaphorically, /li = literal / literally, /rt = rhetorical question, /pos = positive connotation, /neg = negative connotation & /neu + neutral connotation
