I'm going to finish university next year, and I want to move to a different province for better job opportunities. I'll have housing and stuff all covered by my partner's family who is letting me stay with them while we save to get our own apartment.
Problem is, my mom is weirdly adamant that I stay close to home, which I understand a bit since I'd also like to be close in case anything bad happened in the family, but I also want to experience more in my life, i want to explore! I also heard from a friend of my mom's that my mom is scared that my partner will "Steal me away". Like I belong to her?? I'm 20 years old ffs!!!
Anyways, I don't know how to break it to her, since I'm set on moving away once I'm done university. Any advice?
