im getting my haircut in like 3 weeks or smth and i really wanna get like an "emo" cut, but idk what to ask for...for context i have curly hair, and i dont want my hair to look like shit when i don't straighten it..heres some inspo pics i have..i also have aΒ blog postΒ about it..
so what do i ask for???? how do i go about it???? any help would be appreciated..
DO NOOOTTT GOO TO A HAIR STYLIST THEYRE GONNA FUCK YOU UP unless they EXPLICITY STATE that they do alternative hair .. do your own hair.. trust me even if you mess it up itll look 1000xx better than what a professional hair stylist will do.Β

@savvluvsllamas__ the problem is that what they tend to do is want to make their hair look professional, and obviously emo hair is messy slanted and unprofessional. emo hair is SUPER easy to cut its just that it wouldnt be a good look on them .. a lot of the times they also just dont know because its not taught in cosmetology school βΉ
i just dont think theres any alternative specalizing salons near me πππ i really dont want to cut my own hair because if it start to look wonky im gonna end up crying on my bathroom floor..im really not a trust the process person which is why i dont cut my own hair π
i mean i live near a big city? i'd be willing to go into the city to get my hair cut..if theres any alternative ones in the city
@savvluvsllamas__ its ridiculously easy to find them in your area if you search on instagram!!!! ESPC if you live in a big city theres no way you wont find one a couple minutes away!

Yeah, i second what the other person said. If you just go to a standard salon that doesnβt specialize in alternative haircuts (or probably have much experience with properly cutting curly hair) it might not end well
@savvluvsllamas__ OH YEAH youβre probably going to want to request a razor cut. And for laying maybe requesting something like a shag/wolfcut style would probably give them a better idea. At least from my experience lol
