submecanofobia 🫪💀

By now, if you’re my friend here on Friend Rewind, you probably already know that I love mermaids and adore the water. But I have to ask: am I the only person who is absolutely terrified of indoor pools? For instance, I love the ocean—even with its immense depth and that terrifying darkness, I still find it beautiful. But when it comes to artificial indoor pools, or even wave pools with those underwater turbines, I find them truly scary. Another thing I can't stand is those gigantic ship propellers, you know? Whenever I realize just how huge they are, I get so scared that I get goosebumps all over and feel a bit paranoid for the rest of the day. That is, when I don't have nightmares about them, of course. I remember having lots of nightmares about the Titanic when I was a kid. But for some reason, I wasn't afraid of the sea itself—just the Titanic ship. Ugh, it’s terrifying. I recently discovered that this fear of mine is called submechanophobia. 🫪
