The whole platform sucks ass to start off the algorithm doesn't let you pick the things you watch the algorithm picks it for you giving you bites of little videos, it's addictive and does good and bad, introducing people to new things sure, but it makes you hate a lot of things. The reason why things such as memes for example get hate quickly is because you will see the same meme again and again because you aren't picking to look at the meme yourself and instead you are going to see it multiple times at once. If you're online for hours at once then you'll probably see the same meme multiple times making it annoying. You make a hate video and suddenly everyone hates it ohh nooo, and people are either "you are all bandwagoning" or "i've hated it since the start", and then anyone who likes the meme is automatically called corny. These people are so damn hateful dude, when you call them out for being a douchebag they just go "YOU'RE FORCING ME TO LIKE EVERYTHING!!!" as if they're not forcing everyone to hate everything (hypocritical much). And I tell you being a Teto fan on it is a warzone, especially with those fake ass 'oldgen' fans, but tbf some fandoms have it worse. So basically, it's just "I hate this thing" "Oh okay well I like it" "Dork nerd geek go keys" (This doesn't extend to problematic media in that context then I don't mind depending on how problematic it is). Also right now Youtube is slowly becoming Tiktok too, great. The only reason I haven't deleted it is because of my moots and I am NOT losing those guys they r cool asl, but i've started using a grayscale filter to help and it's slowly become boring to me, and helped me realise how stupid everything is.
