Here’s a little story time. Lately my dog has been messing with her mouth and always chewing her food on her right side of her mouth I didn’t know what it was at first and she would always whine in the middle of the night sometimes and I just brushed it off and think she just being clingy. One day when I’m coming back from 2 week vacation from my boyfriend house from Texas I come through the door I see her but something is wrong with her mouth and she barely looks like she has any teeth I took her to the vet and they want $1,650 for them to inspect inside her mouth and $2,000 for the surgery and knowing my family we struggle we don’t got that type of money so they gave us medicine if the bump in her mouth gets worse and when we gave her the medicine it made her mouth bleed and it seems alike the bump in her mouth is getting bigger I’m so worried for my dog I hope she doesn’t have an infection in her mouth and I don’t know what to do the vet didn’t help much and they didn’t tell us what was wrong with and just gave us the medicine when we couldn’t pay that much money but it seems like the medicine isn’t helping her either I’m just so worried for my dog I don’t know what to do I don’t want to lose her.
Your dog needs that vet care. This is not something that's going to be fixed with some medication, it looks like a fast-growing tumour of some sorts (we can only hope a benign tumour). A tumour like this can lead to infection due to teeth being displaced/rotting, the tumour being injured and getting infected, chronic dryness as the tumour is apparently being exposed to air since she cannot fully close her mouth anymore, leading to cracks in the tumour and more injuries, plus general rupturing and potential gangrene as the tumour outgrows its own blood supply (especially in fast-growing ones such as this). I'm sorry this is happening to your little dog here, but this is serious and requires that professional vet care, as even her tongue is being displaced now which will impact her ability to eat sooner than later. I know vet care is expensive, but your family either needs to find a way to pay for it, or she will decline. Again, I'm sorry for your dog.
