Harley Quinn

Back to Movies & TV

A lot of people here already know that I've taken on Harley Quinn's persona, and honestly, it wasn't a random choice. I think what drew me to Harley was never the spectacle. It was the journey.

Harley is one of the few characters who constantly reinvents herself without losing the core of who she is. She refuses to let other people define her. Every version of Harley is still Harley, but she's always growing, adapting, learning, and discovering new sides of herself. That's something I've always connected with on a personal level.

As a man, I know it might seem unusual to identify so strongly with a female character, but for me, Harley has never been about gender. She's about individuality. She's about embracing the parts of yourself that don't fit into a neat little box and having the courage to be unapologetically authentic.

The Harley I admire isn't defined by any relationship, team, or title. She's defined by her willingness to keep moving forward, even when the path is messy. She makes mistakes, learns from them, falls apart sometimes, and then puts herself back together in a completely new way.

That's why taking on Harley's persona felt natural to me. It's not about pretending to be someone else. It's about expressing parts of myself through a character whose journey resonates deeply with my own. The humour, the resilience, the unpredictability, the refusal to conform, the constant reinvention; I see all of that reflected in both Harley and myself.

So when I say I'm Harley, I'm not talking about costumes or comic book canon. I'm talking about the spirit of the character. The idea that you can write your own story, become whoever you choose to be, and never apologise for being different. And honestly, that's the version of Harley Quinn I'll always admire most.
