so i haven't started a new thread in a while (most of the threads i started were in site feedback tbh) but i do lurk occasionally and one thing i've come to notice is this recurring motif permeating on the general board

ofc most of these threads are just mindless space filler posts but my god are there a lot of em 
anyway, can't really grumble too much about it all
i mean, the sweeping majority of anything i post is equally mindless crap lmfao
but i noticed that little pattern and figured i'd start a thread about it
if only to see if anyone else has noticed it too 
How else am I supposed to flimsily vindicate my interests, attempt to have some level of fleeting fun and clumsily socialize with others on this website

aside from them, i ain't slummed it too much 
Every website has always developed its own quirks and trends, and in my mind those threads tend to do a pretty good job of actually getting some engagement. They're fun for the person that makes them cause they get to flex their knowledge or interests, and they're fun for the responders because they get to feel seen.
