i'm a drummer, i go to drum classes. but i have a long trip coming up and my classes are payed monthly so my mom decided last minute (today was my class. she decided this literally one hour before i went in) that it would be better to essentially just drop out so we wouldn't have to deal with all the payments and later on schedule the leftover classes. and the reason she didn't want leftover classes is because she said she had found an academy way closer to our home that i could go walking to and that was cheaper so there was a good chance that i wouldn't go back
so because this decision that i didn't really have much say in was last minute i didn't get to have my last drum class of what could potentially be forever and i feel like i didn't get any closure.
i feel kind of dramatic saying this but fuck i hate it. i hate not knowing if i'll see my teacher again. we're not friends, he's pretty professional and it is a teacher-student relationship but we do get along well and he has taught me everything i know on drums. and i feel like i just idk. i feel like i just threw everything out of the window and let it wrinkle up and die. it makes me feel horrible. i was starting to learn songs that i actually liked after learning some much needed theory exercises (haha). i was already starting to play the mouth of kala by gojira. i've always loved gojira and had always wanted to play a song by them on drums. i feel horrible and so nervous.
i've went to this classes every week on the same day at the same hour for over two years now. which tbh isn't that much but when i started going to these classes it was around the same time i was able to leave my old school and with that get an actual fucking life and be happy for once
and i know i will eventually get over it because i have so much coming up but it still bothers me so so much so i decided to listen to whoever said to tony soprano on the sopranos show that talking about it makes things better (god how i wish i had better memory for quotes and this kind of shit) so i decided to talk about it through the mask of partial anonimity that is the internet
(this could've been a bulletin lmao)
