So for anyone out there whos older or have had tattoos for a while did you guys get them when you were young and now that it's been years have they changed any? I ask because, and I'm not saying this is good or encouraging it or anything, I got most of my tattoos when I was like 14-15 and most of them are fine lined ones which I know don't always age well, and I also have a finger tattoo which is already sort of starting to look old and just not as bright as it used to if you know what I mean.

Most of mine are fairly small and just patchwork but I'm getting a bigger one this year like full black on my arm to sort of add onto ones I already have there and my mother keeps telling me it's gonna look super ugly when I get older and shit, and like that doesn't really bother me I'll enjoy the tattoos for as long as I have then, but I was just wondering how older tattoos turned out and if they're still good looking after years

I've had a tattoo since I was 17, big red one on my left shoulder. I've always gotten comments from people that see it that it looks fresh so honestly I think it's kinda bs to say it's going to look ugly. I've seen some tattoos go ugly though but that's usually stuff like text that seems to get messy or fade.

@Anemoia yea the ones I have on my arm still look fairly fresh (they are my most recent.. Being I was like 15 but wtv) but some of the lettering on my legs has gotten kind of blurry now mostly just my fine lined ones have started deteriorating
