My family told me I was possessed when we lived in a haunted house, strange things happened there.
Have you ever had a supernatural experience? Whether it be possession, past life regression, entity summoning, magick and that kind of stuff
I haven't had many in quite some time but I used to get a lot growing up. The last time I experienced anything paranormal was in 2023/2024, been quiet from the ghosts since then.
I think my earliest kinda paranormal thing I've been told 'happened' (quotations because can we ever be really sure of something 100%?) to me was that I was always scared of a specific chair in my great grandmother's house. My mum used to say I would cry, complaining about a man sitting there all the time. Turns out my great grandmother's recently deceased husbands favourite chair to sit on. I had apparently met him when he was alive but I think he died a little while after I was born in like 2006, maybe 2007.
Spiritual things like ghosts and the like are things I do believe in but I have to take some of it with a pinch of salt too. When I was younger, I was prone to hallucinations, particularly hypnagogic hallucinations and other types of night time ones. I was seeing demons, Jesus etc and my family thought it was quite funny when I told them that I 'saw Jesus' (we were vaguely culturally protestant living in the central belt of Scotland lol I didn't have a religious bone in my body lmao). I also used to see characters from animated films I really enjoyed. The presence of seeing stuff obviously not real like the animated film characters makes me heavily believe I just had a childhood case of hallucinations which is more common than you'd think.
For the more recent ones (2023 and 2024) they were in my grandfathers house. I used to get the creeps whenever I was there and I could feel someone cold touching me in bed once but there was no one there obviously.
You mentioned being possessed, thats quite an extreme example. What's your family's religious background/culture? I barely hear about possessions anymore in the modern day outside of evangelical stuff and sometimes obscure arabic muslim stuff. Did they have to expel the demons out of you with a ritual?
@Starforce my family's religious background is mostly catholic, according to my family my face turned extremely red, I started to vomit a non-catalogued black liquid and started to speak in unknown tongues in a very unnatural deep voice, apparently my family didn't need an exorcist because the event stopped after my mother prayed repeatedly. The event never happened again although another weird phenomena would still occur and later we just got out of the house
That is very very very textbook style demonic possession. I take it you don't remember much from the period? Sounds absolutely traumatic either way for you and your family if this did happen as you said it did. The only reason I asked about religion is because I feel like as children, we are more likely to see and experience this stuff if we are brought up with spiritual/religious ideas in our heads. It influences our outlook on life if that makes sense?
Something is definitely so fishy when someone starts speaking a language they don't know. If it can be verified that somebody doesn't know how to speak Aramaic or Latin or whatever and they're suddenly fluent and speaking in a voice that isn't there on...Something is seriously wrong 😰
Just to be honest I had none but if I gotta be honest about one thing is that after my mother had died pictures started falling off the wall and sometimes I felt watched late at night and would hear tapping on the window outside when none was there

@Fabian Dee According to my family the house we lived in had several weird phenomena, my mother once saw her long-ago deceased grandmother covered in blood, later there were a sudden invasion of cats and bats, there were so much cats you could fill a pool with them, bloody handprints appeared on the windows and we often saw a completely random women inside the house although we were the only ones who lived there
My current house was haunted until the ghost noticed we were really fixing the place up, which likely filled him with mixed feelings as he had been trying to get around to it before he passed on from this life. With the floors creaking quite a bit less often and new fixtures here and there and the walls cleaned and painted, I figure he moved on to the hereafter, having no more unfinished business on this plane.
@Fabian Dee It's kind of a mix of both, I was very young to remember the full part of it and my family has the more vivid memory but at the same time I strongly remember how weird it was to live in the house, I have memory of how dark and nightmarish figures followed me when I walked near the house, I also remember falling unconscious at the time of the possession and then waking up and seeing the house made a disaster. My family neither is fond of lying and they hate fearmongering so I don't think they made stuff up
