i miss when every social media didn't do everything in their power to force you to make a damn account
@lax I got whiff that apparently it's to prevent bots from scraping their site. Which is rich considering bots are going to do it any-ways and their completely willing to scrap data from others.
Twitter is just a bunch of bots now any-ways, so it's not even worth being on, but still.
This is the internet though, and I bet people will find a work around in a couple of months.
ngl i find the bot scraping excuse funny when they literally train grok on users' posts by default. anyways i hope graf and zedeus's legal team can get something good out of this

@adres
I hope so too. Now, I may be misremembering this, but I seem to recall Elon selling his Twitter rebrand as being like a Town Billboard. Something that serves as a place everyone can pitch in. Whatever it was I think it had to do with him preaching freedom of speech. (I don't remember the exact phrasing he used).
But if my memory is correct, than I think it's really fucking stupid to block anyone without an account from observing what goes on inside, to the point you'll take legal action against those who offer that information for free.
So much for that, I guess.
@Asterisk i was there when it happened LOL (left in 2023 and haven't looked back). musk tried pushing the free speech narrative, but ended up doing the inverse of what he claimed dorsey and his team were doing (devaluing(?) posts from their alleged political opposition) to the point he was inflicting massive amounts of right-wing bullshit on brand new accounts.
