I want to be a scene kid but idk the steps can someone please help me?

Hey guys so lately I was looking up early to mid 2000s fashion until I saw the title scene kid so I searched up what an scene kid meant and I really like the fashion and all but since growing up in a normal family who dresses conservative they don’t like my fashion choice and calls me weird but I really want to dress up as an scene kid but I don’t know where to start and the fact soon I’m gonna have to get my hair braided for school so I can’t really style my hair please someone help me

hiii I have a few blog posts about this if ur interested!! my main advice is to research the music first before getting into it. the music is the most important part of scene imo. and unless you are gonna be punished or something, I'd say just ignore what your family thinks. eventually they get used to the way you choose dress.
