i'll go first, i've been a kai fan since i was a little munchkin, and i've stayed firm in my adoration for him through my teenage years and now adulthood. i'm a sucker for characters that are labelled as things like "selfish", and go to extremes to prove to themselves and others that they are NOT. in this case, it would be kai becoming selfless to the point of self-sacrifice, taking it to the extreme. i also love his unwavering loyalty to those he calls his!
maybe it's because i'm the oldest sibling in my family, or because i was forced to grow up too fast, but kai's backstory, his attitude and beliefs, they all just hit so hard for me. and you better BELIEVE i throw that guy into all kinds of found family situations 🔥
