Do you guys actually make friends here? Like talk and get to know each other?
If yes, how?

Honestly idk, i'm pretty new to this and the only person that talked to me ghosted me right after xd
I am also very new here and it can be a mixed bag on these sites. You'll find some people give you a lot to work with in terms of profiles with their interests etc then you will find some people with barely anything on their bios. I've also found the issue of sometimes people replying with very short responses to long blog posts. I posted a longish introduction and the only response I got to it was 'hi.'
I was maybe rude for not responding to the person but it just screamed low effort to me and I personally prefer when someone reads the post and asks a question relating to it or comments on something to do with it.
Though you definitely get people on here who spend the time to craft some very interesting responses to things. I hope I meet more people like that.

yeah i mean i try to whenever someone gives me a friend request and i check out their profile and think their cool i'll send them a little msg saying hi and try to get to know them but being the one that reaches out to ppl all the time it can get exhausting and draining msg ppl back so it's ehh bc either i get ghosted or i always have to be the one to msg ppl first just to have a conversation yk? it sucks.
@radwerewolfz bruh I wanted to look at your profile but its private 😭 I thought "wow! Wolverine profile pic! I love X-men" but I can't see your probably lovely profile...
Also yeah I feel you, a lot of the time it can be exhaustive if its always YOU making the first move with people, its cool when other people come to you with a cool bio or a fun interaction in a forum or blog post.

@Starforce it's private?? that's so weird i put my profile on public so idk why it's not showing up for you 😭 but i can check my settings again to see so weird but im glad you get it
Not particularly - I don't use DMs here, so for the most part I'm just kind of there or thereabouts, hopping on forums and blogs every once in a while, or make a blog post myself

getting to know people on here is not usually through dms although it sure can happen and you can have some nice conversations and now some cool people. you usually get to know someone and 'befriend' them of sorts thru comments on bulletins and blogs and replies on forums
relationships can go further if you start talking on another platform like discord that makes dming easier.. or not. it really depends on how willing the other person is in engaging

Is this a safe place to say and do promotion for myself like, "hey btw if you want online friends, I am happy to be one? xD"
I have not had any strong online friendships, like no texting back and forth everyday. But, posting bulletins and having people who are regulars in always responding feels great.

i just post memes and shitpost until i resonate with ppl
so far it's going okay ![]()

I've made several friends here, yes! I normally go through the forums and see if there's advice I can offer, any interests that are similar to mine, or find something that I might take a peek at! You just really gotta put yourself out there; the right ones will find you. I promise ![]()
Very rarely, but i like to believe so! I think the issue at hand is not knowing who comes and who goes on the site, for some like me, this site is a constant while others who i met only were here for a short time, then dipped :b
Though, when I accept a friend request I love to shoot a dm to get to know the other person sometimes
Sort of, I've had interactions with a few people but I'm very distant so it probably was more because of me that most interactions stopped.
Comment on people’s profiles and mention something that you read in their bio! Then once you guys feel comfortable talking, you can message them and continue talking about their interests. Hopefully they also ask you about your interests (if they don’t, they probably aren’t the greatest friend to keep around). Then check in with them periodically and keep the conversation going!
I have made several friends on here — some that I talk to daily or almost daily. You just have to keep conversations consistent and mutually interesting.
I was already friends with most on SpaceHey and we came over here but I met a few cool new people on here. Mostly I just float around in my loneliness theough.
I try, but I don't have a lot of success. People with whom I'd like to really connect remain distant, even as they frequently contact others. Perhaps it's my age, despite being very young at heart. Perhaps it's my INTJ personality type coming through. Perhaps it's my tendency to move about in shorts and a Star Trek t-shirt. Who knows? I sure as heck don't!
I haven’t been very successful, unfortunately. Mostly because I’m still super tired mentally, but I’m hoping that with the change in seasons I’ll be inspired enough to meet people like I used to.
I dunno, in general my luck with friends has been awful this decade, which hasn’t exactly been encouraging. I don’t have a ton of faith that whatever connections I do make will be maintained years down the line. Especially when it comes to online friends.
I've had a pretty good time with it. I'm a frequent commenter on people's bulletins. But I don't post a lot. When I do post, I typically get kind engagement.
I feel like that's the important part. Engage with other people's posts, ask them open ended questions about stuff, offer encouragement and support. That way even you have something to share, they know your username.
I've also sent letters to some of my buds on here too.
I don't get talked to a lot but I try to make it work
I've meet some cool people here! It's just a matter of conversations really, which I'm no expert at (I'm actually quite bad), but it does go somewhere some times!
its kinda hard to make a friend that lasts on here, but really just try to stay active and text them almost everyday if you really like them, (i have yet to find one XD)
