9/9 Nintendo Direct thoughts?

Back to Games

Overall not a fantastic presentation in my opinion, definitely had some big hits with kirby and metroid which Im crazy excited for. But most of the other stuff felt like addons for older switch games or kinda random games that all blended together. But would love to hear what other people thought.

I feel similarly, Kirby was the only thing that stuck out to me as remotely interesting.

I feel like I and a lot of other people should be more excited for Yo-Kai Watch and Professor Layton, but I feel like a lot of people are weirdly glazing over those two lol

As usual, it feels like a lot of games I and a lot of my friends would've liked were weirdly left out of the English directs and either went completely unmentioned, or were banished to the JP direct. I get international audiences tend to not like the JP games, but would it be that bad to leave some of those in? Touhou 6 and Exstetra, two games I was actually looking forward to, both released today, and the only way someone who wasn't already following these independently would've known is if they were checking specific sources on Twitter...

I did not notice the "I feel like" spam until after I hit enter lol, man that looked way less awkward as I was typing it

Damn forgot about yoki watch but that did look pretty good, never got into professor layton myself though. I really do hate that they seem show different regions different games cause they have kinda cool releases for japan being showed, which may or may not interest me vs showing off some random disney game or telling about final fantasy again. I know it’s advertising at the end of the day, but lately these directs having been feeling very ad after ad instead of game after game if that makes sense. Also watched the UK direct because i can’t fucking stand the dub voice they do, i feel im being spoken to like a 5 year old.
