I have a big test coming up and was never taught how to study, currently I'm using Quizlet's flashcards but I get so bored so quickly doing them and I don't feel like I'm actually learning anything
i would suggest active recall. this one helps me a lot.

Whenever I was in university I used to recite my notes to myself like if I were teaching a class. It really helps to read them out loud. Good luck on your test !!

Adding on to what @Vodkuh said, teaching others is a great way to cement that info long term. The trick is, they don't have to actually be interested in the topic... Or even capable of learning.
You can teach a friend, animal, or even a rock the content.
When surgeons want to learn a new skill- they follow these steps:
- See it: they watch the senior surgeon perform the surgery.
- Do it: they then perform the surgery under supervision.
- Teach it: they then teach the surgeon to someone else, describing the process step by step. Usually this isn't another student, it's the very surgeon who taught them.
Could you give a little bit more context? Is it just memorizing facts for a multiple choice? Is there essay/short answers involved? I ask because i'm an educator :)
@Prince Okay. You could utilize Quizlet's multiple choice features (could be just a teacher thing tho?). Otherwise I have re-written my notes by hand with a focus on material that seems a little fuzzy. If there's processes that need to be memorized in order, I come up with mnemonic devices to help me remember the order. Re-writing really helps me. If you're creative, you could doodle the page or make the words decorative. Color coordinate definitions to the words. So you can think back while you're taking the test. Hope this helps

Update; (I took the test for a competition so there are places and scores) I didn't place in the top ten (I don't know where I placed and won't until August), thank you so much for the recommendations because they definitely did help!
