The N64 console: the n64 had better cpu and gpu performance but.. hindered by low storage cartriges. Which means textures looked low quality and blurry then tour average ps1 game. The ds actually has some clean looking textur compared to the original n64 but also game software got morenefficent even back in 2005 on the ds release. N64 Games would almost always have smoother fps on then the ps1 but lool blurry.
The Ps1 was an evolution. The cd discs were cheaper in cost then the cartriges for game devs, had much more storage (for 1999 standards) on the disc.
But.. While 2D graphics destroy thr N64 easilly duento the 700 mb vs the smaller 80 mb max n64 cartriges. Thd load times are slower then the N64.
The ps1 cpu isnt the fastest but it still pulled off Spyro 3, near the end of thenps1s life. The gpu was especially a bottleneck on the PS1 for devs atnthat time. The ps1 best handled 2.5 d games and or 2D sprites. Once you headedvinto 3D you could see just how powerful it was compared to the N64 specs.
Which one is you all fav?
