I noticed that the UI to message people directly is extremely laggy, the animations when you mouse over a user's icon, and closing/opening the idle user tab is equally so. The tab to send an image in which each option is highlighted to either take a photo/video and choose one from the gallery is also quite laggy. Everything else functionality wise is fine. To note I am running an i9 10980xe/2080 ti/128 gb ddr4, so web UI elements should not be an issue. On mobile, this problem does not exist. Probably a very low priority but I thought it would be good to bring awareness.

I have some interesting findings, in edge, messaging spawns a new window and the issue is totally resolved, in waterfox, it opens a new tab, and if I do it in my 1440p main monitor the issue persists, but if I make the tab a new window and move it over to the 1080p panel and make it smaller like edge does, it’s gone, regardless of hardware acceleration, I wonder if the element rendering methods are browser specific
