Hey all!
I'm Sol, yet another person from Spacehey. While I'm still active over there it is very... concerning how quick it seems to be deteriorating. It saddens me because I have been on there for four, nearly five years.
So here's to hoping I'm here for even longer! I like it here so far :)
Anyway, I'm an archaeologist (field technician) whenever I can find work, at the current moment there is none anywhere even remotely near me (and I can't afford to travel to the opposite end of the country at the moment. alas.) so I am very much unemployed for the time being ╯︿╰. During the school year (which is basically the off season here in the Midwest anyway) I work in childcare and substitute teach! I'm currently saving up money to get my masters, which by the grace of the gods WILL be outside the US. I want to study prehistoric archaeology, especially the Upper Paleolithic and Neolithic (not many programs for that in the US). I plan on being the first person in my family with a PhD, and I'm already the first one with a Bachelors so I think I'm doing pretty good so far (o゜▽゜)o☆

I'm 23, and I would prefer if minors didn't add me, it's no offense to you I just don't like feeling old (and I'm not even old!!!)
I like many things, too many things really. I get distracted very easily. I have a million hobbies and play like 15 instruments PLUS I sing and stuff. I have a Soundcloud but there's like two really shit recordings on there so for the moment I will not be sharing it. If you find it, no you didn't. I love my local bands and I am very outspoken about loving my local bands. If given the chance, I will promote them. Because they're awesome.
I collect a lot of stuff. Rocks, fossils, bug specimens, antique china-head dolls, cassette tapes, stuff like that.
I read tarot and stuff, and while I don't really talk about it, I am a pagan (using the term loosely here) and practice a little bit of witchcraft so there's that too.
I like learning languages, I've attempted to learn SO many languages. Aside from English, I've been learning German since I was around 13-14, and I've taken up learning toki pona for funsies. I'm also working on Gaeilge (Irish), Spanish (Latin American variety), and recently took up Mandarin! Idk I just like languages, I think they're cool :)

I hate AI, I think it is a blight and if you use it openly I WILL block you for it. That is inherently anti-human and anti-earth and I don't fuck with it.
We suck, but I have a lot of hope for humanity. I didn't study anthropology for four years just to end up thinking humanity wasn't beautiful. I love people, I love connecting with people, I want to connect with more people. For all its faults, I think the internet has allowed us to share some beautiful connections with people from all over the world and I think that's pretty cool O(∩_∩)O
