okay so obviously i wasn't old enough to ever have experienced SA. I watched a video essay about Something Awful and LOWTAX awhile back and im currently listening to a podcast episode by the people who made that video. and since theres a notable group of older people on this site that had me wondering if any of them had any stories from the SA days.

no one here's really goon style, thats more, like, "yeah i loved posting so much i paid real human money for it." i used to read letsplays on there, but i read letsplays on tons of places. most somethingawful veterans online now spend all their time crying fat tears about the death and transformation of twitter while clinging to their accounts with their chewed up fingernails. tbf i also cry about this, i miss when twitter was good - a time period which by my reckoning ended when tumblr banned porn and refugees flooded our carefully curated ecosystem. (WE HAD A WAY! WE HAD A SYSTEM!)
