hi everybody! i recently discovered the scene subculture and i think it's pretty cool. i've been wanting to experiment with the style lately but i don't want to jump headfirst into a specific genre or aesthetic.
for the scene queens and kings, or just alternative fashion: do you have any advice for someone just starting to experiment? things like clothes, accessories, hair, makeup, etc? i've been listening to emo music (i apologize if it sounds insulting i just don't know what else to call it) for a few days now, bought some thrifted clothes yesterday, and plan to do more shopping tomorrow.
plus, i really interested in learning what you guys wish you knew when you first stepped into this subculture?
