Two of my favorites are called:
1) "Water Horse: The Legend of the Deep" (2007).
It was about a kid finding an egg and secretly raising a loch ness monster in his bathtub.
2) Beverly Hills Chihuahua (2008)
It was about Chloe (a chihuhua) getting lost in Mexico and having a full action arc with a pack of street dogs
