anyone interested in DSBM here?

Is anyone here a fan of DSBM or atmospheric black metal?

I want friends to chat about it with ^_^

Well, since you asked; Not me. DSBM is the worst and most pathetic of all black metal "subgenres".  I can't and won't listen to any black metal band that calls themselves this cardboard boring, formulaic, type of black metal (I have also described the kind of modern person who listens to and makes "DSBM").  I have noticed most modern black metal bands who call themselves DSBM are talentless, and likely using AI nowadays. Also, always the same copycat lyrical themes and album covers. Look at you cowered in the bathroom corner looking pathetic.  Nearly all of them have practically no substance and are just for edgy teenagers who don't know better

It is unfortunate that older decent bands that evoked such atmospheres have been tagged as "DSBM", but they (the decent bands) never called themselves "DSBM" (Strid, Abyssic Hate, Krohm to name a few).  Scene tourists in the internet age seem to have done that on their unfortunate behalf.    

DSBM is very cool!!! i mess with a bit of atmospheric too, both are nice to listen to <3

dsbm is really lame and mid, the only "dsbm" band i kinda like is Inverno Eterno and even so theyre more atmo than dsbm. I agree with Kommando Mutiliid

I used to have a pretty big "DSBM" phase, but mostly it would consist of me listening to the same couple of bands, which is lifelover, apati, ofdrykkja, kvavning, and andreas ronnberg's music. other than that, i've always seen majority of dsbm to sound like absolute poop.

As some sort of Art form , i guess i can see why people would Like it. there are interesting themes to cover. But for the most part the Hate 2wards this genre is Valid imo.. As (from what i see of it), it glorifies Harmful Habits... and most of the Genre's Audience R Young teenagers that i Feel would negatively influence them..

i only listen to dsbm when im about to do bad things to myself or if im doing something cool like drawing. i listened to dsbm making a doll once and it was nice but i prefer electronic music 

the only band ive ever enjoyed to call themselves "depressive suicidal" is xGnapenstobx (Wings of Kynareth now) and they arent even dsbm. everything else is just so formulaic, unoriginal, performative, lazy, and just utter garbage. i could explain my criticisms of the genre, but i feel as though others here have already explained.
