i have watched a LOT of horror movies over the years (thank you mum) but never has my face hurt from jaw dropping before this movie shook me. heres me yapping abt it with no spoilers
ok so its abt 2am and im like getting sleepy so movie time it is, and i remember someone told me there was a prequel to The Omen a super mega classic that was pretty good if u havent watched it u should, its nothing too crazy in terms of scares but it was one of my first horror movies and little me liked it (thank you mum)
now given that the omen wasnt too crazy i wasnt expecting much from The First Omen besides a good watch so i put it on on my pc and get cozy in bed yayy
let me tell you by the end of this movie i was no longer in bed. i was SAT in my chair on my KNEESSS bc omfg this movie. i did not end up sleeping that night LMAO
the movie covers the typical spooky religious themes, but its set in rome with a focus on the church which is sooo so cool and the set design benefits from it i think that was my fav part of the movie
soooo pretty
margrett is the main character, a soon to be sister of the church and she is stunning firstly like omg. she may be a nun but she can serveee and shes so iconic once uve finished this ull get what i mean, we shouldve talked abt her more when this movie dropped im mad
this movie definitely isnt slow burn, margrett is a troubled person and the scares sometimes manifest as her own delusions but later on the dangers in the movie become real and very shocking omggg im not saying anymore uve gotta just find out id hate myself if i spoiled anything for u
10/10 movie, watch it with a prude to instantly evaporate them
