Second, my writing. While these excerpts below should be fine for just about anybody, my writing does sometimes contain profanity, violence, and mature content. You can find all my books at Amazon through my author page and see longer samples. And if you have Kindle Unlimited, you can read them for free.
I have a zombie novella One Cold Day: A Zombie Story, opening paragraph below.
It was early. The sun had only been up for a few minutes and the air was still cold. She loved how quiet everything was. No cars, no people on their phones. Just the occasional chirp of a bird, and even that was nowhere to be heard. The jogging she could do without, but there she was, jogging. Sandra made a resolution to get back in shape, and jogging seemed the best choice. She didn't need to pay for a gym membership, technically she could do it most anywhere, and most importantly, she could bear to do it so long as she could jog in the early morning before anyone else would be out and bothering her.
I also have two books of 100 word stories, opening story for each below.
The Hundreds: A collection of 100 word stories

Despite everyone telling her she should quit smoking, Sheila found it funny that it was her sneaking up to the roof for a quick cigarette that kept her from the carnage below. She’d heard screams and thought it was a shooter so she pulled the brick holding the door and hid behind the HVAC unit. Two days she’s been up there.
How long can somebody survive without water? she wondered to herself. “I need a hero!”
Hundreds & Thousands: A collection of 100 word stories
The rock sat, not paying any attention to its surroundings. The sun was shining, filtered through passing clouds. A lone pine stood tall across the way. There used to be more, but they were cut down to make a park for children who never came. The planned housing development - Pine Grove - ran out of money before any homes were completed. That was about ten years prior, well after the rock was there. Not much was older than rock, especially in this abandoned housing development. Not that rock paid attention to such things - or anything really - it is just a rock.
