So previous quite a while back I made a Forum Post asking what is your favourite Sega Saturn Game?
Now last night, I decided to make one but this time it's for Sega Dreamcast.
One thing I'm really happy about Sega with Sega Dreamcast is how they somehow decided to continue with their direction from where they were with Sega Saturn and that is bringing Arcade Experience at Home.
As a huge fan of Arcade Games I'd like to talk over into the Arcade side of Sega Dreamcast.
There's a good amount of Arcade Games brought over to Sega Dreamcast during the unfortunately short lifespan of it on the Home Video Game Console Market in the Sixth Generation Of Home Video Game Consoles which for me the last great era of Video Game Consoles and after that unfortunately things slowly went downhill afterwards to how things were now.
From Sega when it comes on their prime Sega Model 3 Arcade Hardware..... It was a mixed bag to me to be honest.
For me here are the only good Sega Model 3 Arcade Conversions.....
Here's "Get Bass", internationally it's called "Sega Bass Fishing".

It was a really nice conversion, it was actually pretty good.
Then we got "Fighting Vipers 2".....

Some aren't happy with it, yeah it's not Arcade Perfect and I think it could've been Arcade Perfect Conversion if Sega decided to take time with it and further work on it but given when it was released I'm sure they decided to rush it as they're unfortunately discontinuing Sega Dreamcast.
But for me for what it is, it was a really good conversion..... It looks really good and quite close to the Original Sega Model 3 Arcade Game.
The Gameplay was there.
Here are some that I'm quite disappointed with as well as many.
Now with "Virtua Fighter 3TB".....

The problem was, they outsourced this to Genki and they also had to rush this port to make it to 1998 Holiday Launch of Sega Dreamcast.
Since it was rushed, the graphics turned out to be kinda underwhelming for others but then it looked somehow close to Original Sega Model 3 Arcade Game.
But here's the problem, since it was rushed the Gameplay was altered in some aspects due to ground collision or something so the combos that you could do on Original Sega Model 3 Arcade Game you couldn't pull that off here.
Now this one is the worse, "Sega Rally 2" on Sega Dreamcast.

First off the Handling for this on Standard Sega Dreamcast Control Pad was badly optimized though it handles nicely on Sega Dreamcast Arcade Steering Wheel.
But then since this was developed with Microsoft Windows CE the graphics looked really disappointing with washed out colours and the lighting was pretty off the wall and the framerate is pretty jaggy.
Now let's move on to nicer ones here let's look over on Sega NAOMI Arcade Games.
There's a good amount of Sega NAOMI Arcade Games ported over to Sega Dreamcast, fair share of Sega themselves and Third Party Developers.
From Sega we got "Crazy Taxi".....

It was a pretty solid conversion, it handles pretty nicely even with Standard Sega Dreamcast Control Pad even with a Sega Dreamcast Arcade Steering Wheel.....
It was pretty fun driving around and picking up passengers around the city.
Although it had noticeable Draw Distance imperfections but still it was really good.
Here is "18 Wheeler American Pro Trucker"

This one is you drive a truck and race against with a rival and you have to make it at the destination in time as it had a pretty tight time limit.
It's a pretty good conversion too as well.
Here we got "F355 Challenge".

This one is a Ferrari licensed racing game, it really pushed the Sega NAOMI Arcade Hardware to it's limits and Sega surprisingly achieved a solid conversion on Sega Dreamcast.
It's a really fun one to be honest.
Now I'm looking over on some nice Third Party Sega NAOMI Arcade Games.....
Here is the popular "Dead Or Alive 2"

This one is a huge leap from the first game both in Graphics and Gameplay Department.
It has a "Story Mode" though pretty short but each character here has a Story in between stages.
The graphics here and overall presentation was really good.
The Sega Dreamcast Port is pretty close to the Original Sega NAOMI Arcade Game and you can unlock Attires and even "Bayman" from the first game as well as the boss "Tengu".
Here we got "Power Stone".

It's top-down fighting game, where players can use special attacks and utilize objects to beat their opponents. The levels also spawn "Power Stones", which can significantly boost the player's performance if collected.
The Sega Dreamcast conversion was also really nice and if not Arcade Perfect then I'd say it's pretty close to it.
Here we got "Psyvariar 2: The Will To Fabricate"

This one is one of these very late Sega Dreamcast Games, it was originally released in the arcades in Japan and it was on Sega NAOMI Arcade Hardware released in 2003 quite after Sega Dreamcast was discontinued then it was later ported on Sega Dreamcast released in 2004.....
In this game you'll go through five vertically scrolling stages, each of which contains a number of enemies and finishes with a boss. To defeat them, the player can use a regular rapid-fire shot, a more concentrated "rolling shot", or a limited supply of screen-clearing bombs. At the beginning of the game the player can choose between two characters, Kei and Yuhei. Kei plays in a more traditional manner, using a wide shot and normal bomb, while Yuhei has a narrow shot and a bomb which increases the player's Buzz radius.
Going back to Sega games we got "Virtua Striker 2 Version 2000.1"

It was an updated version of the Sega NAOMI Arcade Game "Virtua Striker 2 Ver 2000" which was an updated version of Sega Model 3 Arcade Game "Virtua Striker 2".
Ver. 2000 adds a further five normal teams to the Version '99 roster and a third secret team, bringing the total to 35.
But this one doesn't have much difference other than polished graphics and improved AI.
Here we got "Power Smash: Sega Professional Tennis" outside of Japan it's called "Virtua Tennis: Sega Professional Tennis".

It was a Sega NAOMI Arcade Game, then also later on ported over to Sega Dreamcast.
It was a Tennis Game and it only includes male players, specifically those active in the game during the late 1990s.
There's a good amount of Sega NAOMI Arcade Games that's later ported on the Sega Dreamcast aside from these.....
Now outside of Sega NAOMI Arcade Hardware let's talk about some Third Party Arcade Games here.
We got "SoulCalibur".

It's a Arcade Fighting Game developed by BAMCO and is the sequel to Soul Edge/Soul Blade. Originally released for Sony PlayStation Based NAMCO System 12 arcade hardware, the game was ported to the Sega Dreamcast with improved graphics and extra features.
NAMCO really utilized the most out of Sega Dreamcast and so they literally had this one better than the Original Arcade Game.
We got "Star Gladiator 2: Nightmare Of Bilstein"

It runs on Sony PlayStation Based Sony ZN-2 Arcade Hardware and later on ported over to Sega Dreamcast.
It's a sequel to "Star Gladiator", Capcom's first 3D fighting game, which uses a science fiction theme and character designs heavily inspired by the Star Wars series. It reworks the control scheme from the first game and replaces the floating stages with endless 2D planes that have no ring-outs, and it greatly expands the character roster by giving all of the returning characters mirrored counterparts and adding four unique characters.
The last one I'd like to talk about is "Choukou Senki Kikaioh" and outside of Japan it's called "Tech Romancer".

Just like the previous one this one also runs on Sony PlayStation Based Sony ZN-2 Arcade Hardware and later on ported over to Sega Dreamcast.
This was kind of a successor to "Cyberbots: Full metal Madness" it's an Arcade Fighting Game where you control robots.
And just like "Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness" it had a storyline throughout the game before and after the match.
So what's your favourite Sega Dreamcast Game?
